Responsibilities
- Set up and operate press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal according to technical drawings and specifications
- Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and shop math to determine proper machine setup and tooling requirements
- Use precision measuring instruments to inspect finished parts for accuracy, quality, and adherence to tolerances
- Adjust machine parameters during production runs to optimize performance and maintain quality standards
- Maintain a clean, organized work area while adhering to all safety protocols and standards in production environments
- Collaborate with team members on tooling changes, machine maintenance, and troubleshooting issues promptly
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the process using measurement tools and ensure compliance with safety procedures
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating press brake machines or similar forming equipment in a manufacturing setting
- Strong mechanical knowledge of forming machines, tooling, measurement instruments, and fabrication techniques
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and shop math accurately
- Knowledge of safety standards in production environments and strict adherence to safety protocols
- Basic math skills necessary for precise measurement and quality control tasks
- Experience with welding, sheet metal fabrication, machining tools setup, or assembly is advantageous
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
