Job Summary:

Smith Fertilizer & Grain is seeking a Class B CDL Driver for our Albia, Iowa location. This position operates in a fast-paced agricultural environment and involves regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Work schedules are based on customer and organizational needs and may fluctuate during peak seasons.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting a variety of feed products between company facilities and customer sites while operating well-maintained equipment in a professional and careful manner.

Key Responsibilities:

· Maintain a positive and professional attitude when interacting with customers and coworkers at all times.

· Provide courteous, high-quality customer service.

· Ensure timely delivery of bulk and bagged feed to assigned customers.

· Maintain assigned feed truck in safe, clean, and proper working condition.

· Assist with feed processing operations and general feed mill housekeeping.

· Support warehouse operations, including stocking, receiving, and organizing inventory, products, and ingredients.

· Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and submit accurate condition reports.

· Weigh trucks before and after loading, and as required during routes.

· Follow all safety guidelines and company-established safety programs.

· All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or GED required; one to three years of related experience preferred but not required.

· Valid Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).

· Must meet DOT physical certification requirements; minimum age of 21 years.

· Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and participate in random drug testing.

· Clean driving record required.

· Strong work ethic and reliability.

· Ability to occasionally lift and carry 50–100 lbs.
