Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Salesperson role based in Fort Myers, FL. The Salesperson will identify and qualify new commercial, industrial, and residential fencing opportunities through inbound inquiries, outbound outreach, and local networking. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting with prospective and existing customers on-site, assessing project needs, preparing accurate estimates and proposals, and following up to close sales. The role involves coordinating with project managers and installers to ensure smooth handoff from sale to installation, as well as tracking opportunities and customer interactions using company systems. The Salesperson will also support customer service by addressing questions, resolving concerns, and maintaining long-term relationships with key accounts and local partners.
Qualifications
- Strong sales and customer relationship skills, including prospecting, needs assessment, presentation, and closing.
- Experience in construction, fencing, gates, or related trades, with the ability to read basic site plans and understand installation requirements.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical details in clear, accessible language.
- Basic proficiency with estimating tools, spreadsheets, email, and CRM or similar tracking systems.
- Ability to work independently in the field, manage time effectively, and handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local site visits and client meetings.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or sales training in construction or related fields is a plus.
- Prior experience in outside sales, especially in commercial or industrial services or products, is strongly preferred.
