Role Description This full-time, on-site Fence Installer role is based in Fort Myers, FL. The Fence Installer will measure and lay out fence lines, dig post holes, set posts, mix and pour concrete, and install various types of fencing and gates according to project specifications. Daily tasks include loading and unloading materials, operating hand and power tools, assisting with site preparation and clean-up, and ensuring installations meet safety and quality standards. The role involves reading and following work orders or basic drawings, collaborating with crew members and supervisors, and communicating with customers or site contacts as needed. The position requires working outdoors in varying weather conditions and performing physically demanding tasks such as lifting, carrying, and manual digging.
Qualifications
- Practical installation skills, including measuring, layout, post setting, concrete mixing, and use of hand and power tools.
- Construction and site work experience, including basic carpentry or fence construction, site preparation, and adherence to job specifications.
- Knowledge of safety practices, including OSHA awareness, use of personal protective equipment, and safe operation of equipment and vehicles.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting 50 pounds, working on your feet for extended periods, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong reliability and teamwork, including consistent attendance, effective communication with crew leaders, and a professional attitude on job sites.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; ability to travel to job sites within Lee County and surrounding areas.
- Previous fence installation, construction, or related trade experience preferred but not always required; willingness to learn and follow instructions is essential.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
