We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to champion safety initiatives across our operations. In this vital role, you will implement, and oversee safety protocols that ensure a secure work environment for all team members. Your expertise will help us maintain compliance with industry standards and foster a culture of safety excellence.
Duties
- Enforce comprehensive safety programs aligned with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections of job sites to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Lead safety training sessions focused on OSHA compliance, first aid, CPR, and occupational health best practices.
- Investigate incidents and accidents through root cause analysis to prevent recurrence and prepare detailed report writing for management review.
- Ensure compliance with workers' compensation law requirements by managing injury reports and supporting workers’ compensation claims processes.
- Coordinate emergency response procedures, including first aid readiness and CPR certification updates for staff.
- Promote a safety-first culture by engaging with employees at all levels and providing ongoing training & development opportunities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction environments with a strong understanding of OSHA standards and occupational health principles.
- Certification in first aid, CPR, OSHA safety training, and EPA regulations preferred.
- Knowledge of workers' compensation law and report writing procedures related to workplace injuries.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis on safety incidents to identify underlying issues.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to deliver engaging training sessions and clear safety reports.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple safety programs simultaneously.
