Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled laborer to join the Smith Construction team. As a skilled laborer, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to construction and maintenance projects. This is a hands-on role that requires expertise in multiple areas, including carpentry, door hanging, flooring installation, cabinet installation, masonry work, tile laying, and the use of power tools.
Responsibilities:
- Perform carpentry finishing tasks for commercial and residental buildings
- Hang doors and ensure proper alignment and functionality
- Install various types of flooring materials according to specifications
- Assist with cabinet installation and ensure proper fit and alignment
- Follow instructions to complete construction projects
- Lay tiles in an accurate and aesthetically pleasing manner
- Safely operate power tools and other equipment necessary for the job
- Willing to learn and develop new skills
Requirements:
- Proven experience in carpentry finishing, door hanging, flooring installation, cabinet installation, masonry work, tile laying, and the use of power tools
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks for extended periods of time
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues on the job site
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures
- Must have a drivers license and reliable transportation to the job site
