Description

The Program for the Study of Women, Gender, and Sexuality at Smith College invites applications for a one-year, benefits eligible postdoctoral teaching fellowship with a specialty in Transgender Studies. Possibility of renewal for the second year, depends on needs of the program. The position will begin July 1, 2026. The teaching load for the position is one course in each semester. Candidates should have a strong foundation in Transgender Studies and be prepared to teach courses in this field. A Ph.D. in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies or a relevant field is expected by the time of appointment. Candidates from underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply.

In addition to a competitive benefits package, pay for this role is typically between $60,600-$62,200 annually covering the middle half of market compensation. Actual compensation will vary based on individual qualifications.
