Precision Milling Machinist — CNC/Manual

You arrive on the shop floor, review the day’s 2D drawings, and head straight to the ACER mill for setup. Tooling is dialed in, offsets checked, and your first part moves from blueprint to reality. As the go-to machinist for both CNC and manual work, you’ll bounce between mills, lathes, grinders, saws, boring mills, and drill presses—measuring as you go with calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators to hold tight tolerances.

What you’ll do

• Set up, adjust, and operate an ACER machine along with a range of manual and CNC machine tools: mills, lathes, grinders, saws, boring mills, and drill presses.
• Validate dimensions throughout the process using precision metrology (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators).
• Translate complex blueprints and GD&T callouts into efficient machining plans.
• Apply proven experience with manual mills, lathes, and grinders to produce quality parts.
  
  

What you bring

• Hands-on proficiency with manual and CNC equipment, especially milling operations.
• Ability to read and execute from blueprints with GD&T.
• Familiarity with 2D drawings and precision inspection tools (calipers and micrometers).
