Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role located in Topeka, KS. As a Baseball/Softball Instructor at Smith Baseball Academy, you will work with athletes of varying skill levels to develop their abilities in hitting, pitching, fielding, throwing, and other key areas. This includes creating and implementing individualized training sessions, providing constructive feedback, and fostering a positive and encouraging learning environment. Instructors will actively demonstrate techniques, ensure safety protocols are followed, and maintain a professional and supportive atmosphere during sessions.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and experience in baseball and/or fast-pitch softball fundamentals, including hitting, pitching, fielding, and throwing
- Effective communication skills for engaging with athletes, providing clear instructions, and delivering constructive feedback
- Experience with coaching, mentoring, or working with athletes of various ages and skill levels
- Ability to assess individual player skills and tailor instruction to their specific development needs
- Organizational skills to plan and execute training sessions effectively and manage time efficiently
- Previous collegiate or professional baseball/softball playing experience preferred
- A passion for teaching and helping athletes achieve their full potential
- Ability to work flexible part-time hours, including evenings and weekends, as required
