What are the responsibilities and job description for the UX Designer position at Smith & Associates?
Here’s what you’ll do:
As a UX Designer, you will be a critical member of a team who builds our sales software applications and deliver innovative solutions using modern technologies to improve the sales applications for a powerful user experience.
Primarily responsible for designing, conducting, analyzing, and reporting on user-centered design research and usability testing. This includes the identification of user needs and goals, plus task and workflow modeling. By working with key stakeholders, you will create a UI/UX design that reflects the culture and workflow of the Smith business.
You’ve done this:
- 3 years of User Experience Design
- Translated business needs and challenges into ideas and concepts using quantitative and qualitive research practices
- Designed and coded prototype user interfaces based on business requirements while adhering to good coding practices
- Worked with executives, project managers and sales teams to understand the needs of functional users and work alongside other developers to resolve issues on already established web applications
- Posses strong knowledge of design principles, typography, user interfaces, web standards and usability
- Solid experience in jQuery/JavaScript, HTML, AJAX, CSS, and front-end technologies
- Hold strong skills in using UI design and presentation tools like Sketch, Figma, Abstract, Overflow, Protopie, Adobe XD is a must
- Mocked up new user interface designs using modern UI and mockup design tools such as UXPin, Balsamiq, Lucid Chart
- Been exposed to modern front-end technologies such as Node.js, Angular JS, Backbone JS, React etc.
- Responsive web design experience using frameworks e.g., Bootstrap/Foundation, Angular and Ionic UI library is a must
- Native & Hybrid Mobile App design experience is mandatory
Education:
- Bachelor or higher degree in IT, Cognitive Science or Design related majors
- Additional training or certifications (such as the Nielsen Norman Group UX Certification) is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
