Job Overview: We are seeking seasonal receptionist to join our team of friendly tax professionals. The ideal candidate should have experience in tax or accounting office settings, possess exceptional customer service skills, and demonstrate strong attention to detail.
This position is part-time Monday to Friday at our Bend office with flexible hours and start date for the right candidate. We support a healthy work life balance through a seasonal work schedule and generous time off policies, especially in June-July and November-December.
The receptionist will work closely with our small team to provide exceptional customer service, perform administrative tasks, and assist with daily office operations. Our team has remote and hybrid tax preparers, so the receptionist must be comfortable communicating with team members via phone, email, and Zoom calls from the Bend office.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist clients in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer phones, take messages, route calls, and provide information in a courteous manner
- Respond to emails promptly and professionally
- Schedule appointments with clients and tax consultants using Google Calendar
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
- Receive, scan, and file sensitive client documents
- Create simple invoices in Quickbooks
- Collect signatures and receive payments for services (check, cash, and card)
- Bind client copies of tax returns for pick-up or mailing
- Simple data entry in TaxDome
Experience:
- Previous experience in a tax office is highly desirable
- Customer service experience is essential
- Must be proficient in computer applications
- Experience with Google Calendar, Quickbooks, TaxDome, and/or UltraTax preferred
Skills & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Computer literacy
- Excellent phone and email etiquette skills are required
- Conversant in Spanish (highly preferred)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 30 per week
