What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Content Specialist position at Smith & Associates Real Estate?
We are looking for a Senior Content Specialist who is as passionate about great design and compelling storytelling as they are about strategy and results. This is a hands-on, creative, and highly visible role at the intersection of luxury marketing, brand building, and real estate sales. You will be the voice, aesthetic, and creative engine behind one of Tampa Bay's most recognized brands — producing content across digital, social, print, and sales channels that reflects the sophistication our clients expect.
This is a full-time, on-site position based in St. Petersburg, FL, with regular travel throughout the Tampa Bay area to capture content at properties, events, and new developments.
What You'll DoDigital & Social Media
- Plan, create, and publish daily content across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms
- Produce short-form social videos, reels, and property highlight content that performs — visually and algorithmically
- Develop and maintain a content calendar aligned with listings, market moments, and brand campaigns
Email Marketing
- Design and write aesthetically refined, strategically crafted email campaigns that engage a high-net-worth audience
- Segment and tailor messaging to buyers, sellers, investors, and referral networks
- Analyze performance and continuously optimize for open rates, engagement, and conversion
Web & Blog Content
- Write and update website copy that reflects our brand positioning and supports SEO strategy
- Produce blog articles on luxury market trends, neighborhood spotlights, new development news, and lifestyle content
Print & Advertising
- Concept and produce print campaigns including property brochures, direct mail pieces, and luxury print advertisements
- Maintain exacting brand standards across all print collateral — typography, layout, photography selection, and copy
Sales & Presentation Support
- Collaborate with agents and leadership to build polished sales presentations and pitch decks
- Create property-specific marketing packages and listing proposals that win business and wow clients
- Support new development marketing with campaign materials from pre-launch through sell-out
Experience & Background
- 4 years of content, marketing, or creative experience — ideally within luxury real estate, high-end hospitality, fashion, design, or another premium consumer brand
- Proven track record producing content that is both beautiful and effective
- Experience working across both digital and print channels
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Design, or a related field required
Skills & Mindset
- Deep understanding of luxury brand aesthetics — you know the difference between premium and pretentious
- Strong grasp of sales psychology and how content moves people through a decision-making journey
- Strategic thinker who can zoom out to campaign-level planning and zoom in to nail a single caption
- Proficiency in design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva Pro, or equivalent) and email platforms (Mailchimp, Klaviyo, or similar)
- Exceptional writing ability — concise, evocative, and on-brand across every format
- Actively using and exploring AI tools for content creation, ideation, and workflow efficiency; you see AI as a creative collaborator, not a shortcut
- Highly organized and self-directed with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-moving environment
- Comfortable on location — you're willing to travel around Tampa Bay weekly to capture photos, video, and content at properties and events
