Title: FIG Investment Banking – Vice President
Salary: $225,000 to $250,000 Bonus
Location: New York, NY (On Site)
Responsibilities:
- Lead and support transaction execution
- Support group Directors/MDs in deal sourcing
- Support in origination activities, pitches and information decks
- Start to build long term Wealth/Asset Management or Insurance sub sector industry relationships
- Work hand in hand with the FIG and Insurance MDs
- Advise on Buy/Sell side M&A activities , engage in the due diligence process of deals
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior Bankers (Associates & Analysts)
- Analyze market data and understand current market trends based on real time date
- Enthusiastic about the sub sectors of the Financia Institutions Group industry including, Insurance, Wealth/Asset Management, Payments or Specialty Finance
- Becoming a market specialist in any sub sector will help you stand out as a candidate, ideally in Insurance or Wealth Management
- M&A experience is a must with a track record of deals executed in FIG
Requirements:
- BA/BS with a major in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or related field
- MBA is a plus
- Anywhere between 4 yrs – 8 yrs of relevant experience, only Banking or combination of Investment Banking and Corporate Advisory
- Needs to have exposure, experience and expertise in FIG M&A deals
- Strong M&A Exp is a must from buy-side & sell side
- Licenses preferred are Series 7, 79 & 63
- Open to travel as needed by clients
- Must have a track record of leading small teams (4-6 junior Bankers)
- Minimum 6 yrs of Investment Banking experience is ideal
