Title: Investment Banking – Financial Institutions Group (FIG) Vice President
Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)
Salary: $250,000 – $275,000 Bonus
The Vice President will play a leadership role in transaction execution, oversee Associates and Analysts, contribute to client relationship management, and work closely with senior leadership on business development initiatives. This position is ideal for a banker who thrives in an entrepreneurial, collaborative environment while managing multiple high-profile assignments.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the execution of buy-side and sell-side M&A, capital markets, and strategic advisory transactions within FIG, with a strong focus on insurance, insurance technology or insurance services.
- Manage deal teams, supervising Associates and Analysts to ensure high-quality work products and efficient workflows.
- Take a lead role in preparing and presenting pitch books, information memoranda, management presentations, and other client materials.
- Conduct and oversee complex financial modeling, valuation analyses, and strategic reviews.
- Support origination efforts of senior team (Partners/MDs) by identifying potential opportunities, conducting prospect research, and participating in client pitches.
- Maintain and expand relationships with existing clients while building new ones in targeted FIG sub-sectors.
- Coordinate due diligence processes and liaise with legal, accounting, and other advisors.
- Stay informed on market trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory developments impacting the financial institutions sector.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA or other advanced degree a plus.
- 6–10 years of relevant experience in investment banking, with strong exposure to FIG and insurance sector transactions.
- Proven ability to lead multiple transactions from start to finish while managing teams.
- Strong origination support skills and a demonstrated ability to develop client relationships.
- Advanced financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with a track record of delivering high-impact client presentations.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases.
- Series 79, 63, and 7 licenses is a must
- Self-motivated with strong leadership skills, business acumen, and attention to detail.
