The Opportunity
We’re seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Project Manager / Director of Operations to join our leadership team. This hybrid role blends hands-on project management with high-level operational oversight. You’ll be instrumental in shaping the future of the company — optimizing workflows, mentoring teams, and ensuring that every project is delivered with precision and care.
What You’ll Do:
Lead Projects from Start to Finish: Oversee planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution of multiple construction projects, ensuring they’re delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
Drive Operational Excellence: Evaluate and improve internal processes across estimating, procurement, field operations, and client communications.
Team Leadership: Manage and mentor project managers, site supervisors, and administrative staff. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Client Relations: Serve as a key point of contact for clients, architects, and subcontractors. Build trust through clear communication and proactive problem-solving.
Financial Oversight: Collaborate with ownership on budgeting, forecasting, and cost control. Monitor project profitability and identify opportunities for margin improvement.
Strategic Planning: Help shape long-term business strategy, including technology adoption, talent development, and market expansion.
What You Bring:
10 years of experience in construction project management and operations, ideally in a leadership role.
Strong understanding of residential and light commercial construction practices.
Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects and teams simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — you know how to lead with empathy and clarity.
Financial acumen and comfort with budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
Proficiency in project management tools and construction software (e.g., Buildertrend, Procore, MS Project).
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field (Master’s or PMP certification a plus).
