Title: Director of Clinical Education (Pediatrics)
Salary Benefits: $140,000 – $155,000 per year, plus comprehensive benefits and professional development opportunities
Responsibilities of the Director of Clinical Education ( Registered Nurse) :
Lead the planning, development, and implementation of organization-wide educational programs for all clinical departments.
Develop and maintain evidence-based policies and procedures to ensure high-quality, resident-centered care.
Evaluate staff competencies in partnership with department managers and oversee ongoing clinical skill development.
Foster a learning culture through needs assessments, mentorship, and innovative teaching strategies.
Coordinate and deliver new hire orientation, mandated in-service training, and continuing education initiatives.
Partner with Quality and Nursing teams to identify and address clinical performance improvement opportunities.
Support readiness for regulatory inspections and ensure compliance with all education-related standards.
Supervise and mentor clinical educators and educational support staff.
Serve as a clinical resource to staff, residents, and families to promote excellence in care delivery.
Strengthen a culture of evidence-based practice, professional accountability, and compassionate service.
Requirements of the Director of Clinical Education (Registered Nurse)
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
Master’s Degree in Nursing Education (MSN) required; Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) preferred.
Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) credential a plus.
Current CPR and PALS certification.
Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in medical-surgical or pediatric nursing; pediatric/adolescent rehab experience strongly preferred.
At least 3 years in a clinical educator or supervisory role.
Proven ability to develop and implement interdisciplinary educational programs and evaluate their effectiveness.
Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and performance improvement processes.
Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.
Proficiency with EMR systems and educational technologies.
Ability to work a full-time, on-site Monday–Friday schedule (occasional weekends as needed).
