Chief Medical Officer (CMO)
Waterbury, CT
Salary: $270,000 - $378,000 Bonus Potential
Position Highlights
- Competitive salary of $270,000 - $380,000
- Potential performance bonus after 6 months and annually thereafter
- Monday-Friday schedule, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- No evenings, weekends, or on-call responsibilities
- 32-40 hour work week
- Approximately 60% administrative / 40% clinical
- Clinical schedule includes 1 full day and 2 half days per week
- Average of 15 patients per day with approximately a 20% no-show rate
- Utilize eClinicalWorks EMR
- Local candidates preferred
- Position expected to be filled within 6-8 weeks
Responsibilities for Chief Medical Officer
- Provide executive clinical leadership across multiple service lines
- Oversee quality improvement initiatives and clinical operations
- Provide oversight of infection prevention and infection control programs
- Partner with leadership on provider staffing, recruitment, and retention
- Ensure compliance with HRSA regulations and UDS reporting requirements
- Represent the organization within the Community Health Center of Connecticut trade association and other community partnerships
- Support Adult Medicine, Women's Health, and Pediatrics
- Continue direct patient care while mentoring and supporting clinical staff

Qualifications for Chief Medical Officer
- Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Minimum of 5 years of physician leadership experience
- Prior FQHC experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of HRSA regulations and UDS reporting
- MBA or advanced leadership degree is highly desirable
- Demonstrated success leading providers, improving quality, and driving clinical excellence
Pay: $270,000.00 - $380,000.00 per year
