Position Overview:
As an Event Specialist & Photo Booth Operator, you will be the face of our company at weddings, corporate parties, school functions, and private celebrations. You will be responsible for transporting, setting up, operating, and tearing down photo booth equipment and event entertainment rentals, while ensuring guests have an incredible experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Equipment Transport & Setup: Safely transport photo booth equipment, props, and event rentals to venues. Set up and test all technology (cameras, touchscreens, software, and printers) prior to guest arrival.
- Guest Engagement: Welcoming guests warmly, guiding them through the photo booth experience, encouraging fun prop use, and keeping lines running smoothly.
- Event Operations: Oversee photo booth printing, monitor digital shares, manage guest photo scrapbooks/albums when applicable, and maintain a clean, organized setup area.
- Event Teardown & Maintenance: Safely dismantle equipment post-event, repack inventory, and return gear to storage.
- Event Support: Assist with setting up additional event rentals, decor, or party equipment as needed for scheduled bookings.
Position Requirements:
- Transportation: Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle capable of transporting equipment (SUV, van, crossover, or large trunk strongly preferred). Transporting equipment is not required for all positions.
- Physical Capability: Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs (loading/unloading gear) and stand for 4–8 hours during events.
- Tech Comfort: Basic familiarity with iPads, touchscreens, and digital cameras (we provide full equipment training!).
- Personality & Professionalism: Outgoing, friendly, punctual, and dependable with a strong customer service mindset.
- Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours, primarily Friday evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a photo booth attendant, event assistant, DJ assistant, photographer, or in customer service/hospitality.
- Experience managing event crowds or working in fast-paced social environments.
- Prior Customer Service, Retail, or Hospitality Industry Experience.
Schedule & Hours:
- Job Type: Intermittent, event-based part-time.
- Hours: Primarily weekends (Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays) with occasional weeknight events.
Pay & Travel Perks:
- Rate: $17.50 – $30.00 per hour (based on experience, job requirements, and event duration).
- Travel Benefits: Hotel accommodations, mileage reimbursement, and per-diem provided for out-of-town travel outside the local service area.
