About the role:
As a Production Technician, you will be responsible for manufacturing customised endless conveyor belts to customer specifications, quality standards, and production targets. Working as part of a skilled production team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality products safely, efficiently, and in line with our lean manufacturing principles.
This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail, teamwork, and a strong commitment to health and safety.
What you'll be doing:
- Manufacturing customised endless conveyor belts in accordance with technical specifications and standard operating procedures.
- Operating production machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Preparing materials and carry out finishing processes as required.
- Inspecting products throughout the manufacturing process to ensure quality standards are met.
- Completing all production documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Organising workload effectively to achieve daily output targets and efficiency rates.
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised work area in line with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Participating in risk assessments, safety audits, and continuous improvement activities.
- Contributing to lean manufacturing initiatives and support a culture of continuous improvement.
- Carrying out additional reasonable duties as required to support the production team.
About You:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Ability to lift moderate to heavy weights.
- Ability to follow written procedures and technical instructions accurately.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong awareness of health and safety practices.
