Smiles N' More Dental is looking for a motivated Dental Assistant to become a part its wonderful growing team. This full time dental assistant position will be reporting to the General Dentist (owner) directly and will have an integral role in patient care, including setting up and cleaning treatment rooms; escorting patients to the treatment room and making them comfortable; and assisting the dentist with clinical treatments. The position will also provide opportunities for professional development through training and continuing education (CE) programs.

Other required duties include:
- Capturing dental x-rays
- Preparing and sterilizing instruments, handpieces and other equipment in compliance with OSHA standards and CDC guidelines
- Sending and monitoring lab cases
- Following up with patients after treatment and providing relevant instructions
- Providing patient education and nutritional counseling to maintain oral health
- Monitoring inventory and ordering dental supplies
- Various office tasks as directed by the dentist
Education and Experience Requirements include:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of accredited dental assisting program
- Compliance with state dental practice requirements, such as x-ray requirements and OSHA
- Computer skills
- Registered Dental Assistant
- Commitment to Continuing Education for career development
Other Desirable Skills:
- Good interpersonal skills to maintain effective rapport with patients, dentists, other staff members and community
- Effective verbal skills to communicate with patients and staff
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) abilities are a plus.
