Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive dental practice that is based on excellence and sound principles. Duties:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for dental procedures
- Take and develop dental x-rays, digitally only
-Take CBCT, panoramics, oral photos, intraoral digital scans and other modern, high end procedures.
- Perform dental charting and documentation
Create and manage dental crown temporaries
Use iOS scanning and CBCT
improve and learn other advanced procedures like oral surgery, dental implants, etc...
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and order as needed
- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program
- Current CPR certification
- Strong knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and materials
- Proficiency in dental software systems (e.g., Epic)
- Familiarity with medical terminology and HIPAA regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Skills:
The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following skills:
- Solid understanding of human anatomy and oral health
- Proficiency in computer-assisted design (CAD) software for creating dental restorations
- Experience with medical imaging techniques for diagnosing oral conditions
- Knowledge of vital signs monitoring during dental procedures
- Ability to assess patient needs and provide appropriate care
- Strong medical documentation skills for maintaining accurate patient records
