Job Title: Account Director
Location: Miami, FL (hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 remote)
Contract: Full-time – SMILE
At SMILE, an independent global agency specialized in performance marketing, creativity, and corporate events, we are looking for an Account Director to lead Tier 1 corporate accounts with an international scope. This role combines strategic thinking, operational excellence, and the ability to connect multidisciplinary teams with global clients.
We are looking for someone who understands business, inspires trust at C-level, and executes with rigor and creative judgment. The ideal candidate does much more than coordinate deliverables: they anticipate needs, propose solutions, lead conversations, and safeguard the quality of the output with a global-agency mindset.
- Lead the day-to-day operation of key Tier 1 accounts (Retail, Technology, Banking).
- Ensure full contract compliance: scope, timelines, deliverables, and quality.
- Act as the primary point of contact for senior client stakeholders (management, leadership, procurement).
- Coordinate internal teams (performance, design, events, audiovisual, admin) across the U.S., LATAM, and Europe.
- Oversee timelines, dashboards, weekly status meetings, and responsibility matrices.
- Present executive reports, monthly status updates, post-campaign materials, and event wrap-ups.
- Identify improvement opportunities, issues, or up-selling opportunities and escalate with sound judgment.
- Apply a global perspective with local sensitivity according to each target market.
- Minimum 5 years managing corporate accounts at advertising, marketing, or brand experience agencies.
- Proven experience with Tier 1, regional, or global clients.
- Professional command of English (spoken and written) for interaction with global teams.
- Strong skills in process management, executive reporting, presentations, and contract-related documentation.
- Ability to work with creative, technical, and business teams at the same time.
- Knowledge of tools such as Google Workspace, ClickUp, Notion, and CRMs.
- Residency in Miami or nearby areas (mandatory for hybrid model).
- Previous experience at agencies such as Ogilvy, Wunderman Thompson, VMLY&R, Accenture Song, or other multinational agencies is a plus.
- Being part of an agency based in Miami with operations across the U.S., LATAM, and Europe.
