Smile Studio 87 is a modern, growing dental practice in Woodridge, IL, seeking an experienced Dental Insurance Coordinator / Billing & Front Desk Specialist to join our team.
We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented dental professional with strong dental insurance, billing, claims, and front-desk experience. The ideal candidate is confident working with patients, insurance companies, and dental office systems while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
Minimum 2 years of dental insurance and billing experience is required. Dental office experience is required.
Responsibilities
- Verify dental insurance eligibility and benefits
- Review PPO benefits, limitations, frequencies, and patient responsibilities
- Submit and follow up on dental insurance claims
- Submit and track pre-authorizations
- Post insurance and patient payments accurately
- Follow up on unpaid and outstanding claims
- Manage insurance aging and accounts receivable
- Research and resolve claim denials
- Answer patient questions regarding insurance and billing
- Explain treatment costs, insurance benefits, and patient financial responsibilities
- Greet and check patients in and out
- Schedule and confirm appointments
- Answer phones and assist with patient inquiries
- Coordinate daily front-desk workflow and patient flow
- Communicate effectively with doctors, clinical staff, and patients
- Maintain accurate patient and billing records
Qualifications
- 2 years of dental insurance and billing experience required
- Previous dental office/front-desk experience required
- Strong knowledge of dental PPO plans and insurance terminology
- Experience with dental claims, EOBs, pre-authorizations, and insurance follow-up
- Experience with accounts receivable and patient billing
- Dentrix experience preferred
- Strong computer and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask in a busy dental office
- Professional, dependable, and proactive
- Strong attention to detail
