Responsibilities
- Assist the doctor during examinations and procedures, including prosthodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, cosmetic, implant, and general dentistry tasks.
- Care for our patients as if they were family
- Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use.
- Instruct patients on post-treatment care.
- Perform infection control procedures to maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Manage patient records accurately using dental software
- Stay updated on dental terminology and advancements in dental assisting practices.
- Order supplies and keep inventory using our systems
- Support other area of the office, including hygiene and reception
- Remain drama-free and keep a great attitude
Qualifications
- One year previous experience as a Dental Assistant is mandatory; Expanded Duties is preferred, but training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and infection control practices is essential.
- Familiarity with oral surgery, removable prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry is mandatory.
- Proficient in using dental software applications (Open Dental experience is a plus).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with patients and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Must have KY X-ray certification, bloodborne pathogens training and up-to-date BLS (CPR) certificate
