The Front Office Lead is the operational heartbeat of the practice. You own the front desk team, the schedule, and the first and last impression of every patient. Your job is to keep the day running smoothly, hit targets, and make sure the doctor and clinical team can focus on dentistry.

What You’ll Do
Lead the Front Office and Team
Supervise, train, and coach front desk team members
Build and manage front desk schedules and coverage
Run daily huddles and ensure phones, messages, and walk-ins are handled professionally
Hold the team accountable to service standards and office protocols
Own Patient Experience & Flow
Ensure check-in/check-out is smooth, fast, and friendly
Monitor and optimize the schedule to keep providers productive and on time
Handle escalated patient concerns with empathy and solutions
Keep the lobby and front office organized and brand-aligned
Drive Scheduling & Collections
Oversee scheduling templates to maximize production and minimize holes
Support insurance verification, treatment presentation, and financial arrangements
Monitor collections, A/R, and same-day collections with the central billing team
Review key reports (production, collections, reappointment, case acceptance) and act on them
Operate Within a System
Implement Smile Society front office systems and checklists
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and company policies
Communicate clearly with the doctor, and leadership
Support new hire onboarding and occasional training across locations if needed
What You Bring
2 years in a dental front office role; lead or manager experience strongly preferred
Strong grasp of scheduling, insurance basics, and patient financials
Experience with [Curve/Archy/Open Dental] or similar software
Confident, calm communicator who can lead a team and handle tough conversations
Organized, detail-oriented, and motivated by hitting goals as a team
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $45,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
