Duties
- Greet guests warmly with genuine enthusiasm and a friendly demeanor, making them feel immediately welcomed
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to optimize flow and reduce wait times
- Answer phone inquiries professionally, providing accurate information about wait times, reservations, and general inquiries
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth seating transitions and timely service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area, ensuring a professional appearance at all times
- Assist with guest inquiries or concerns promptly, demonstrating excellent customer service and guest relations skills
- Support team members in various hospitality tasks to enhance overall guest experience
Skills
- Proven experience as a host or host in food service or restaurant environments, with strong customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for managing reservations and guest check-ins
- Previous restaurant experience that demonstrates efficiency in managing high-volume environments
- Knowledge of hospitality standards, including phone etiquette and guest relations best practices
- Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure
- Experience working in hotel or guest services environments is a plus
