Depending on your qualifications and availability, instructors may teach one or more of the following:
- 8-Hour Infection Control
- Radiation Safety
- Coronal Polishing
- Pit and Fissure Sealants
- Orthodontic Assistant (OA)
- General Chairside Assisting
- Deliver Dental Board-approved course content in a professional, engaging, and student-centered manner
- Supervise students during lab, pre-clinical, and clinical activities
- Ensure compliance with all safety and infection control standards
- Evaluate student performance through practical assessments and exams
- Maintain accurate student records, including attendance, evaluations, and exam results
- Provide timely, supportive communication and feedback to students
- Collaborate with course directors and staff to ensure smooth course delivery
Required
- Current and active California RDA license held for at least 2 years
- Valid Pit and Fissure Sealant Certificate
- At least 2 years of recent chairside dental assisting experience
- Current BLS certification
- Instructional knowledge of:
- 8-Hour Infection Control
- Coronal Polishing
- Radiation Safety
- Pit and Fissure Sealants
- Orthodontic Assisting
- General Chairside Assisting
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable with hands-on, lab-based instruction
- Passion for teaching and mentoring future dental professionals
- Prior teaching, training, or presentation experience
- Completion of Dental Board-approved methodology teaching courses
