What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pediatric Dental Hygienist position at Smile Ark Pediatric Dentistry?
We are a growing pediatric dental office seeking a registered dental hygienist to join our amazing team!
Dental Hygienist Responsibilities:
- Preparing and maintaining dental instruments and supplies
- Review schedule and check medical and oral health history
- Remove plaque, stains and calculus from teeth
- Obtain necessary dental x-rays
- Educate patients/parents about oral hygiene techniques, such as how to brush and floss correctly
- Assisting other clinical staff as needed including taking dental x-rays and instrument cleaning/sterilization
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with OSHA, CDC, and ADA procedures, rules and regulations
- Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential in accordance with HIPPA regulations
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working as a pediatric dental hygienist is required
- Willingness to work as part of a team
- Proficient with computers
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
