Role Description The Dental Hygienist will provide quality preventive oral care and patient education as part of the clinical team in this part-time, on-site role located in Beverly Hills, CA. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing dental prophylaxis, periodontal charting, scaling and root planing, and assisting in the management of periodontal disease under the supervision of the dentist. The role involves preparing and maintaining treatment rooms and instruments, reviewing medical and dental histories, and supporting accurate documentation in patient records. The Dental Hygienist will educate patients on hygiene techniques, home care routines, and preventive strategies, while collaborating closely with dentists and staff to ensure a safe, efficient, and positive experience for every patient.
Qualifications
- Strong clinical skills in Dentistry and Dental Care, with the ability to deliver high-quality preventive and supportive services.
- Proficiency in Hygiene and Dental Prophylaxis, including routine cleanings and patient education on oral health maintenance.
- Experience assessing and managing Periodontal Disease and supporting non-surgical periodontal therapy.
- Current state licensure as a Dental Hygienist in California and certification in local anesthesia (or willingness to obtain, if required).
- Knowledge of infection control protocols, OSHA standards, and safe handling of digital x-ray and modern dental technologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team and provide empathetic patient care.
