Duties
- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, drilling machines, and horizontal drilling equipment to facilitate coal extraction processes.
- Conduct manual handling tasks including loading, unloading, and moving materials safely across the site.
- Use pipeline systems and water trucks to manage water flow and maintain operational safety during extraction activities.
- Follow all safety regulations including OSHA standards, ensuring compliance during all phases of mining operations.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on industrial equipment like Caterpillar machinery and other construction tools to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist with construction site activities related to mining infrastructure, including the setup and operation of tanker trucks for fluid transport.
- Support safety protocols by participating in safety drills, wearing proper protective gear, and reporting hazards immediately.
Experience
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, forklifts, and machine drilling tools in a mining or construction environment.
- Knowledge of pipeline installation, horizontal drilling techniques, and water truck operations within industrial or oil & gas settings.
- Familiarity with safety standards in production environments, including OSHA regulations specific to construction sites and industrial operations.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical systems, troubleshooting equipment issues, and performing routine maintenance on industrial machinery.
- Background in construction site work or related fields such as oil & gas extraction is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining awareness of safety regulations at all times.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred for operating tanker trucks or other transport vehicles involved in mining operations.
