METAL FABRICATOR
Well established full-service architectural signage company, located in Frederick MD, is seeking a creative and experienced full-time Fabricator to add to our busy custom fabrication shop. Our company specializes in fabrication of illuminated and non-illuminated signage such as custom cabinets, pylons, channel letters, large detailed interior displays, ADA wayfinding, digital displays and graphics, etc.
Skills and Qualifications
- Fabrication/Welding experience required. Previous sign industry experience preferred.
- Machinery operation such as brakes, shears, saws, power tools, and mechanical equipment
- Strong work ethic and high level of craftsmanship.
- Must be able to read and accurately interpret shop drawings, communicate effectively, and meet strict deadlines and quality expectations throughout fabrication process.
- Organized, motivated, solution-oriented attitude and problem-solving skills are a must. We like bringing challenging designs and ideas to life and the ability to adapt and think outside of the box is often necessary.
- Knowledge of various material usage and sign fabrication techniques. (Aluminum, acrylic, polycarbonate, wood, stone, pre-finished laminates, adhesives, etc.)
- Knowledge of various types of sign specific lighting and electrical practices such as LED, Neon, fluorescent, etc. We are a UL Listed manufacturer.
- Ability to effectively manage time as well as be able to work and think independently or collaborate when necessary.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for long periods of time, and perform physical tasks.
- CNC router operation and/or digital design experience is a plus, but not required.
