Commercial Asphalt Paving Sales Representative/ Estimator

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Asphalt Paving Sales Representative/Estimator to join our team. This role is vital in driving business growth through developing new client relationships and accurately estimating project costs for commercial asphalt paving projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong construction industry experience, excellent communication skills, and proficiency with estimating and construction management software. You will be responsible for preparing detailed estimates, reading blueprints, managing client communications, and actively pursuing new business opportunities to expand our customer base.

Duties

• Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients while actively pursuing new business opportunities within the commercial construction sector.
• Prepare accurate project estimates using estimating software, including material costs, labor, and other related expenses.
• Read and interpret blueprints and construction plans to ensure precise estimation of project requirements.
• Utilize spreadsheets and Microsoft Office tools to organize data, prepare proposals, and communicate project details effectively.
• Manage estimation processes for construction project budgets, ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining profitability.
• Collaborate with construction management teams to understand project scope and specifications.
• Use construction management software to track project progress, costs, and other relevant data.
• Communicate clearly with clients regarding project scope, pricing, timelines, and other pertinent information throughout the sales process.
• Develop your own customer base by actively reaching out to potential clients and networking within the industry.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in the construction industry, specifically in estimating for commercial projects.
• Proficiency with estimating software and construction management software tools.
• Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and material cost estimating.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
• Ability to work independently in developing new business opportunities and managing multiple estimates simultaneously.
• Familiarity with spreadsheets, Microsoft Office Suite, and estimation processes for construction project budgets.
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to sales and customer relationship development.
