Additional Job Description:

WVU Medicine, West Virginia University Health System Medical Group (WVUHS Medical Group) is actively recruiting a Physician Pediatric Hospitalist, at Weirton Medical Center, located in Weirton, WV.

Duties: Provide comprehensive inpatient clinical care to patients with disease and injuries of the human internal organ system and establish preventive health practices for patients.

As a full member of our WVU Health System, Weirton Medical Center is part of a broad, integrated network of doctors, hospitals, clinics, and specialized institutes. Successful candidates must have an MD, MD/PhD or DO degree (the employer accepts foreign educational equivalent) and be eligible to obtain a state medical license. Candidates must have completed an accredited pediatric or pediatric/internal medicine residency program as well as a pediatric hospital medicine fellowship. Successful candidates must be board eligible or certified in pediatrics, and will be expected to become board certified in pediatric hospital medicine within five years.
