What are the responsibilities and job description for the Skilled Laborer position at SMC?
Stormwater Maintenance, LLC (SMC) is a stable and growing regional environmental restoration construction and maintenance company seeking skilled construction laborers to join our company. This position is a direct report position and will require reliable transportation to the job site. Locations will vary.
We provide good hours and a consistent workload throughout the year. We keep our people working consistently as possible throughout the year on a mix of maintenance and new construction projects.
The skilled laborer position will be responsible for assisting with the construction, maintenance, and repair of stormwater infrastructure and stream restoration projects. The preferred candidates should have experience with equipment operation (skid steer/off road truck) on landscaping or site related construction projects. We are looking for candidates with a variety of backgrounds including pouring and forming concrete for various structures. The preferred candidate should have experience with site related construction or similar experience. Prefer mechanically inclined individuals with equipment operation experience.
Requirements:
- Consistently show up on time every work day
- Run chainsaws, compaction equipment, and other construction equipment
- Assist with site excavation, stone, and various material installation
- Learn - you can progress and grow as much as your capabilities and motivation allow
- This is a direct report position, reliable transportation required
