Senior Manufacturing Engineer - (Machining)

PURPOSE

The purpose of a Senior Manufacturing Engineer is to bring advanced technical expertise, leadership, and strategic guidance to the optimization and improvement of manufacturing processes within an organization. Senior Manufacturing Engineers play a crucial role in driving innovation, ensuring efficiency, and maintaining high standards of quality in the production processes. This role is pivotal in ensuring the organization's competitiveness, efficiency, and adherence to quality and safety standards. A Senior Manufacturing Engineer will provide strategic leadership, technical expertise, mentorship, and guidance to other process engineers fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture.

Essential Duties

Process Optimization:

• Lead the design, development, and optimization of manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
• Conduct in-depth analyses of existing processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategic solutions.
  
  

Technical Leadership

• Provide technical leadership and expertise in process engineering, serving as a subject matter expert within the organization.
• Mentor and guide junior process engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
  
  

Innovation And Best Practices

• Drive innovation by incorporating industry best practices and staying abreast of emerging technologies and trends in process engineering.
• Champion a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring that the organization remains at the forefront of manufacturing advancements.
  
  

Project Management

• Manage and oversee complex engineering projects from conception to completion.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, ensuring project objectives are met on time and within budget.
  
  

Collaboration

• Collaborate closely with other engineering disciplines, production, quality control, and R&D teams to ensure the seamless integration of processes.
• Provide technical insights and guidance to support cross-functional initiatives.
  
  

Quality Assurance

• Work in collaboration with the quality control team to establish and maintain robust quality assurance measures.
• Ensure that manufacturing processes adhere to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and quality specifications.
  
  

Problem-Solving And Troubleshooting

• Analyze complex engineering challenges, develop effective solutions, and troubleshoot issues that may arise during the design, implementation, or optimization of processes.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Fast-paced Office Environment
• The job requires frequent standing, walking, and using hands to manipulate objects, tools, or controls, as well as reaching with hands and arms. Employees will often need to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Being able to hear and speak clearly is also essential.
• The work environment includes exposure to noise, heat, cold, dust, oil, coolant, and grease.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in an Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience as a manufacturing engineer.
• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, optimization techniques, best practices, and emerging technologies.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with relevant software tools and technologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in the English language.
• CNC machining experience preferred
  
  

Compensation & Benefits

The expected salary range for this position is $88,616–$130,292 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors.
