About the Role
We are looking for a Controls Engineer I to support the design, programming, and development of control systems across a variety of industries. Responsibilities include PLC programming, HMI development, drawing updates, documentation, and status reporting. You will research and analyze ideas for system improvements while meeting safety and quality standards and supporting both internal teams and client needs.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot process and hardware issues.
- Coordinate with internal teams and customers to resolve control system problems.
- Provide technical support as needed.
- Work with vendors on controls-related tasks.
- Meet performance and quality metrics.
- Perform basic PLC programming.
- Complete basic to intermediate HMI programming, including coding and object updates.
- Perform network updates, including IP addressing and VLAN configurations.
- Integrate equipment using Modbus, BACnet, SNMP, and other protocols.
- Read and update wiring schematics.
- Work independently on customer sites or remotely.
- Travel up to 20 percent, including occasional international travel.
Qualifications
A.S. or B.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Experience: 0–3 years.
Required Skills
- PLC programming experience in Rockwell, Siemens, or Schneider preferred.
- Experience with AutoCAD.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to understand and respond to customer needs.
- Ability to interpret and implement engineering specifications.
- Understanding of VLANs and networking.
- Proficiency with Windows and macOS.
- Strong documentation and writing skills.
Preferred Skills
- PLC programming experience in Rockwell, Siemens, or Schneider preferred.
- Experience with AutoCAD.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Salary : $70,000 - $85,000
