Role Overview

This role focuses on application development, maintenance, and troubleshooting within an enterprise environment using Oracle Forms, PL/SQL, Java, and related development tools. The developer will contribute to enhancing existing applications, building new modules, testing software, and participating in structured programming and review processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications using Oracle Forms and Oracle Database tools.
• Write and optimize PL/SQL procedures, functions, triggers, and scripts.
• Perform Java development for application components and integrations.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and test existing software to identify defects and performance issues.
• Participate in programming review sessions, code reviews, and business process discussions with team members and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with testers and analysts to validate application functionality and ensure smooth deployments.
• Follow structured programming principles, established development standards, and version-control processes (e.g., Subversion).
• Produce and maintain documentation, including technical specs, design documents, and updates.
• Work within defined project timelines and contribute to team discussions to support delivery goals.

Required Experience

• 5 years developing applications using Oracle Forms with Oracle Databases
• 5 years of hands-on PL/SQL development
• 5 years of Java development
• Experience using development tools such as Toad, Oracle Forms Builder, version control tools (e.g., Subversion), and structured programming concepts
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and application testing experience
• Ability to work within a project team environment and meet scheduled deadlines
• Strong documentation and communication skills

Pay: $52.00 - $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
