CNC Milling Specialist/Lathe Machinist Mazak Quick Turn 450M

We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist experienced in 2-Axis operations to set up, operate, and manufacture critical fabricated parts using a Mazak Quick Turn 450M CNC machine and related tooling. This role requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC lathe machines (horizontal and/or vertical).

• Verify tool lengths, including setting tool geometries and offsets.

• Set up and adjust fixtures, clamps, and other work-holding devices as needed.

• Load and unload parts using overhead cranes, slings, and chains.

• Adjust machine offsets to maintain quality and dimensional accuracy.

• Produce first-piece products that conform to process drawings and quality specifications.

• Maintain tight tolerances on large components (28 inches and above).

• Proficiently use manual measurement tools such as swing gauges, calipers, and OD micrometers.

• Meet and uphold specified quality standards.

• Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and report any issues to supervision immediately.

• Collaborate with the workgroup to prioritize and complete work to meet customer and company requirements.

• Perform daily TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) activities.

• Mentor and assist other team members when needed.

• Promote a "Zero Defects" and "Right First Time" culture.

• Propose and support initiatives for Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement.

• Provide support for Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations.

• Ensure proper handling and protection of parts throughout operations and transport to avoid damage.

• Follow all company policies, including those outlined in the Employee Handbook.

• Maintain high housekeeping standards within the work area.

• Comply with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) policies.

• Perform additional duties as assigned in line with the position s responsibilities.
