Maintenance Mechanic

SmartTalent Lynnwood is seeking reliable and motivated individuals for a food manufacturing company in Anacortes, WA. Ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of previous industrial maintenance in a production setting.

LOCATION: Anacortes, WA    

Pay: $26 - $32

SCHEDULE:     

Must be flexible to work days, nights, and weekends. The normal start time will be 4pm.

Advancement Opportunities

Key Responsibilities:

·        Disassembles equipment and machinery to access and remove defective components.

·        Examine the form, fit, and finish of parts to identify imperfections or wear.

·        Measures and inspects components using precision tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify dimensional accuracy.

·        Repairs or replaces worn or faulty parts as needed.

·        Install new or modified functional and structural components in machinery and equipment.

·        Cleans, lubricates, and maintains equipment to ensure efficient operation.

·        Test and calibrate machines to confirm they meet performance specifications.

·        Sets up and operates a variety of machine tools, including lathes, drill presses, grinders, and saws, to fabricate or repair parts.

·        Sharpens, modifies, or reshapes tools as required.

·        Initiates requests or orders for replacement of parts, tools, and equipment.

·        Troubleshoots and repairs basic electrical systems and components.

·        Adheres to workplace safety policies and follows industry best practices.

Additional Responsibilities:

·        Completes required environmental, health, and safety training and applies knowledge to daily work activities.

·        Reports any potential safety hazards, equipment issues, or environmental risks in accordance with established procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements:

·        A minimum of 1 year of experience in Production Maintenance.

·        HS Diploma or equivalent.

·        Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors and bagging machines.

·        Ability to operate a variety of hand tools to include welding machines, cutting torches and power tools.

·        Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
