Teaching Assistant-Fully Inclusive- Private Special Education School We are seeking teaching assistants for our full inclusion TK classroom. This position is in a small full inclusion classroom where special needs and typically developing children are educating together. SmartStart is a dynamic cutting-edge, fully inclusive developmental program for all children including children with special needs. Come join our energetic and creative team. Salary 20.00-20.50 per hour, fully paid health and dental benefits and 401K retirement plan are included in this position. This is a 12 month, year round position that includes a significant amount of paid vacation.
Requirements
- Applicants MUST have experience with special needs TK children.
- MUST LOVE CHILDREN AND LOVE TO PLAY AND INTERACT!
- AA or BA in related field preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Support classroom management by fostering a positive learning environment.
- Engage with students to promote social skills and emotional development.
- Collaborate with educators to adapt lesson plans and materials for diverse learning needs.
- Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback to the teaching staff.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student needs and achievements.

Pay: $20.00 - $20.50 per hour
