SmartSky Networks, LLC is seeking a full-time Sr. Director, Air Transport Management with the ability to work remotely. As a fast-growing, dynamic technology company this position will be responsible for the commercial interface to the Air Transport sector to develop, manage and be the SmartSky liaison for the success of the program.  The individual must work closely with the product support team for the success of the user experience for the airline/air freight operator. Further, until department gets more fully staffed, may also need to help manage and coordinate VAR and engineering integration. Position requires a self-motivated and detailed individual with at least 15 years of experience in similar roles.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Relationship management of Air Transport account(s) ensuring delivery of contracted services for fleet aircraft.
2. Collaborate with the account management team and product management function to understand customer requirements, solve problems, and provide ongoing sales and account management support.
3. Work with internal teams to explain the benefits of our products or services to air transport customers.
4. Assist in the development of proposals for new and existing accounts, both proactively and reactively in response to RFIs/RFPs.
5. Act as a liaison between air transport accounts, VARs, customer operations, and technical teams to ensure strategic and timely completion/delivery of our products and services.

Desired/Required Skills, Qualifications, and Work Experience:

1. Experience or direct knowledge of commercial airlines to including engineering, line maintenance, support and operations not only as it relates to cabin IFC programs but data collection.
2. Experience with dynamic start-up environment.
3. Develop and manage partner relationships to enhance the SmartSky Service offering.
4. Identify a GTM Plan for the SmartSky Service in non-IFC areas in the Air Transport Segment.
5. Confident communicator and presenter with an excellent understanding of the product development on regional, national, and global levels. Will be required to represent SmartSky at industry events and present on behalf of SmartSky.
6. Identify and develop tradeshow and events to represent SmartSky in the Air Transport marketplace.
7. Superior project and time management skills with a wide degree of creativity and flexibility, including being able to balance multiple projects, change orders and priorities simultaneously.
8. Proactive, customer service-oriented mindset.
9. Proficient with general office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to adapt to a variety of other software databases.
10. Ability to travel and work remote a must.

Required Certifications/Licenses/Degrees:

1. Bachelor’s required, Master’s a plus
2. PMP certification or experience a plus

Desired Education Level: Master’s degree or equivalent experience

Years of Experience Required:  At least 15 years in aviation product development, design and implementation in the Air Transport market.
