Job Description
SmartRent is becoming a growing provider of access control solutions for our clients in the multifamily space. We are dedicated to ensuring seamless access control designs and top-tier service for all our clients, along with the many other solutions we offer. To support the demand and growth of our access control solutions, we're seeking an experienced Access Control Designer to join our dynamic Operations team.
Responsibilities
- Access Control Design: Utilizing the information collected during site visits, design comprehensive access control solutions that span the entirety of multifamily properties ensuring efficiency and scalability.
- As-Built Designs: Create simple, clear, and accurate scope of work design for common areas where wireless connections will need to be provided when necessary.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate effectively with multiple vendors, internal teams, and clients. Ensure smooth project flow and timely delivery of network design projects.
- Client Communication: Provide both written and verbal communication to clients, ensuring they are well informed and satisfied with the network design process and results.
- Sales Team Support: Assist the sales team by addressing technical questions related to access control designs, enhancing the sales process, and ensuring client satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in access control design, specifically for multifamily or commercial properties. Proficient in communicating design and operational concepts to customers and consultants. Skilled in software programming based on established design standards. Experienced in selecting hardware designs from a standard design library to create flow diagrams, sequences of operations, bills of materials, access control layouts, and electrical schematics as needed.
- Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Design and Construction Management, Electrical Engineering preferred or related field, electronic engineering, information technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven track record of successfully coordinating with vendors and internal teams.
- Familiarity with common access control hardware (Mercury HID, Wavelynx, Assa Abloy)
- Familiarity with Salesforce software and Google Workspace.
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and technical proficiency.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong teamwork ethos and a passion for delivering top-notch client service.
