Consumer Electronics Repair Technician

Classification: This is an hourly, non-exempt position.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Consumer Electronics Repair Technician repairs and/or troubleshoots consumer electronic devices, including but not limited to smart phones, laptops, and tablets. The ideal candidate will have technical experience in a related industry. We are, however, open to applicants without prior experience and are willing to train the right individual.

Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Inspect and troubleshoot both hardware and software issues on devices in a timely manner.
2. Repair or replace damaged parts as needed, on a wide variety of devices on a daily basis with little to no supervision.
3. Complete paperwork regarding the services performed on each device.
4. Check and inspect devices before and after repairs are completed.
5. Prioritize and prepare timely repairs for customers while maintaining the highest level of workmanship.
6. Provide each and every customer wonderful customer service.
7. Inform customers of repairs that are needed and give them a price and estimated time of completion.
8. Inform customers when their repair is completed and answer any questions they may have to the best of your ability.
9. Meet or exceed our same-day repair policy.
10. Educate oneself on a regular basis about the latest service and repair techniques used in our industry.
11. Assist with the training of new technicians on the servicing, troubleshooting and repairing of devices.
12. Complete additional duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
2. Knowledge of iOS, Android and Windows software and hardware.
3. Ability to perform at high levels under pressure.
4. Strong understanding of computer software and hardware.
5. Excellent customer service skills.
6. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Expected Hours of Work:
This position requires availability on Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:45 AM to 6:30 PM and on Saturday from 9:45 AM to 5:30 PM. Additional hours may be required. Hours vary by location and are subject to change.

Travel:
Occasional travel or work at other locations may be required.

Education and Prior Experience:
1. High school diploma or GED.
2. 1-3 years of technical experience in a related industry is ideal.
3. Current CompTIA A Certification is a plus, but not a requirement.
