Quality Assurance Engineer

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute functional, regression, smoke, integration, and performance testing for new features, product enhancements, maintenance releases, and production-ready builds.
• Analyze test results, logs, system behavior, and performance data to help isolate root causes.
• Contribute to improving overall test coverage and release quality.
• Develop and maintain automated testing solutions using programming and scripting languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript/Node.js, Groovy, Perl, or similar technologies.
• Work closely with developers to investigate defects, performance issues, and product behavior.
• Collaborate with DevOps, infrastructure, product, and other QA teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Basic programming skills in Bash, Python, JavaScript, or similar scripting/programming languages
• 2–4 years of experience in QA with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions under tight deadlines
• 2–4 years of experience writing test cases, maintaining test suites, and performing different types of testing including functional, system, and regression testing.
• Strong understanding of QA principles, software testing processes, defect management, and testing deliverables
• Experience with testing techniques such as BVA, Equivalence Partitioning, Decision Tables, State Transition, Use Case Testing,
• Error Guessing, and Exploratory Testing
• Basic understanding of test levels including Unit, Component, System, System Integration, and Acceptance Testing
• Basic networking fundamentals and hands-on troubleshooting knowledge, including:
• Understanding of OSI/network layers
• TCP/IP fundamentals
• IP addressing and subnetting
• DNS and DHCP
• Network connectivity troubleshooting
• Ability to distinguish issues related to applications, operating systems, virtualization, or networking
• Familiarity with reporting and productivity tools such as Excel, smartphones, tablets, and related technologies
