Ideal Candidate
Our company is seeking a highly motivated , experienced field technician who is interested in pursuing a career in the Audio Video industry. The desired candidate is comfortable working in a dynamic environment. As AV Technician, you will be supporting all aspects of installation of our systems. Tasks are well defined and varied, so we are seeking someone who is flexible and adaptable based on the needs of the project. Your ability to lead installers and take direction from managers is important. Must be hard working, trustworthy, responsible, polite and respectful with attention to detail. Neat and clean appearance is always required. Starting compensation will be based on experience and expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Installation of control systems, lighting control systems, audio and video systems, network / wifi and security systems
- Low voltage wire installation, management and termination
- Pre-wire of new construction jobs often in non-environmentally controlled conditions
- Wall fishing low voltage wiring
- Ability to read, interpret wire diagrams, schematics and blueprints
- Coordinate with clients, builders and our office staff to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Coordinate with support technician or programming tech for test, troubleshoot and commission of installed systems.
- Troubleshooting common service call problems at the system level
Qualifications:
- 3 years of A/V installation experience
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently. Self-starter and a team player
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and safely handle a ladder
- Ability to safely work with power tools and utilize technology such as a multimeter
- The ability to work comfortably on a ladder, and comfortable with heights
- Comfortable working outdoors and in small spaces i.e. crawl spaces and attics
- Dedication to company's safety-first policy
Preferred (not required) skills:
- Designing, documenting audio video & control systems
- Industry training and certification is a plus
- Low Voltage License (L-5 or C-5) also a plus

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
