CNC Machinist

SmartHire is looking for a CNC Machinist for a client in Auburn WA. Ideal candidate will have3 years of experience operating a Mill or Lathe (HAAS desired) along with experience in Aerospace or Manufacturing.

CNC Machinist (Mill / Lathe)

Location: Auburn WA

Pay: $25 - $30 per hour. DOE

Shift: Mon-Thurs 8am – 530pm and Fri 8am – 12pm (overtime paid)

What You'll Do

·       Set up and operate CNC Mills or Lathes (HAAS experience strongly preferred)

·       Machine precision aerospace components to specification

·       Read and interpret aerospace blueprints

·       Inspect your own work using precision measuring tools

·       Deburr finished parts to meet quality standards

·       Perform basic machine adjustments and maintain a clean work area

·       Assist with other machine shop duties as needed

·       Work overtime when production requires

What We're Looking For

·       3 years of CNC machining experience (Mills or Lathes)

·       Experience operating HAAS CNC machines preferred

·       Strong blueprint reading and inspection skills

·       Ability to perform shop math and pass a basic math assessment

·       Solid understanding of machining practices and tolerances

·       Own basic machinist tools

·       Reliable transportation and dependable attendance

·       Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and help wherever needed

·       Flexible team player with strong communication and people skills
