smartdept. is searching for a Social Media & Growth Manager for a CPG client. The ideal candidate will come with 4 years of experience in social media, digital marketing, and growth strategy within a consumer brand environment. This is a project-based, fully remote, 3–6 month contract opportunity with the possibility of extension.
This role will own and drive brand growth across social, content, paid media, and digital channels, with a strong focus on execution and performance.
What You’ll Do:
- Own and manage all social media channels including posting, engagement, and content calendars
- Manage and execute social content strategy across organic and paid channels
- Oversee agencies running paid ads across Meta, TikTok, and Google
- Lead influencer marketing efforts including sourcing, partnerships, and performance tracking
- Manage TikTok Shop strategy, including creator partnerships, operations, and scaling initiatives
- Coordinate with PR and experiential agencies for launches, events, and activations
- Manage email and SMS marketing campaigns, flows, and loyalty initiatives
- Track and analyze performance metrics across channels and optimize accordingly
- Pitch and execute creative, innovative marketing ideas to grow brand awareness and engagement
- Ensure brand voice is consistent across all channels
What You’ll Need:
Education/Experience:
- 4 years of experience in social media, digital marketing, or growth roles
- Experience working with CPG, eCommerce, or early-stage brands preferred
- Proven experience managing paid social and influencer campaigns
- Hands-on experience with TikTok Shop strongly preferred
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience managing agencies and cross-functional partners
- Strong understanding of analytics and performance tracking tools
- Familiarity with email/SMS platforms (Klaviyo or similar)
- Creative thinker with a test-and-learn mindset
