Responsibilities:
- Drive company vehicles to job sites
- Load and unload tools, equipment, and materials
- Assist crews with fiber optic installation and construction work
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Duties
- Safely operate heavy equipment such as bucket trucks, power tools, and other construction machinery to facilitate fiber optic installation and maintenance.
- Assist with the setup and teardown of job sites, including digging trenches, laying cables, and securing network infrastructure.
- Use hand tools and power tools to install, repair, and troubleshoot low voltage wiring, Ethernet cables, LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network), and telephony systems.
- Read schematics, technical diagrams, and blueprints related to fiber optics, electrical wiring, and network layouts.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, including cable routes, splicing points, and system configurations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met while adhering to safety standards.
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (3 plus years of Driving Record)
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and punctuality
- Construction or utility experience is a plus, but not required
Experience
- Prior experience in field service roles involving telecommunication or construction projects is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment like bucket trucks or similar machinery is preferred.
Pay: $11.00 - $12.00 per hour
