We are seeking a Senior Chemist to support and optimize production at a leading chemical manufacturing facility. This role offers the opportunity to apply technical expertise in polymerization, data analysis, and process improvement within a collaborative, innovation-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor daily plant production, maintain production databases, and analyze process data to ensure optimal performance.
- Identify trends and deviations in production, recommending data-driven process improvements.
- Plan, execute, and report on plant trials for existing products, new grades, or process enhancements.
- Provide technical troubleshooting for polymerization and aftertreatment issues, minimizing downtime and documenting solutions for knowledge sharing.
- Conduct lab evaluations of raw materials and recipes, identifying opportunities for productivity and cost improvements.
- Prepare and manage technical documentation, including SOPs and reports, ensuring compliance with scientific standards.
- Stay current with industry developments and mentor team members to build technical capability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Quality, Production, and Marketing to align processes and maintain regulatory compliance.
Qualifications:
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Polymer Science or Chemistry.
Experience:
- Required: 2–5 years of laboratory experience.
- Preferred: 1–2 years of plant process experience and emulsion polymerization in a manufacturing setting.
