Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical facility. This position requires a strong understanding of medical procedures, excellent patient service skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
  • Measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
  • Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort.
  • Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture for blood sampling as needed.
  • Conduct laboratory procedures following aseptic techniques to ensure accurate results.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and assist with the organization of specimens.
  • Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
  • Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Invoicing
  • Operating EKG, Audiogram and Pulmonary Machines
  • Coordinate with Billing company
  • Drug testing
  • Overseeing clerical tasks, such as sorting and sending mail
  • Inventory
  • Answering phone calls and emails
  • Ensuring office is clean

Requirements

  • Proven 2-3 years experience as a Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist or in a similar role within a hospital or clinical setting.
  • Strong knowledge of human physiology and medical terminology.
  • Proficiency in performing vital signs assessments and basic laboratory procedures.
  • Ability to phlebotomize effectively while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Familiarity with aseptic techniques and infection control practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient interaction.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and patient care processes.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Work Location: In person

Salary : $15 - $17
