Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical facility. This position requires a strong understanding of medical procedures, excellent patient service skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort.
- Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture for blood sampling as needed.
- Conduct laboratory procedures following aseptic techniques to ensure accurate results.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and assist with the organization of specimens.
- Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Invoicing
- Operating EKG, Audiogram and Pulmonary Machines
- Coordinate with Billing company
- Drug testing
- Overseeing clerical tasks, such as sorting and sending mail
- Inventory
- Answering phone calls and emails
- Ensuring office is clean

Requirements
- Proven 2-3 years experience as a Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist or in a similar role within a hospital or clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of human physiology and medical terminology.
- Proficiency in performing vital signs assessments and basic laboratory procedures.
- Ability to phlebotomize effectively while adhering to safety protocols.
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques and infection control practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient interaction.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and patient care processes.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
